1st Time seeing Jason Isbell was AMAZING!
I was so excited for this show and Jason Isbell definitely delivered!
I missed the opening act (because I was googling over their baby in the lobby!), but heard great things about them so I will for sure be checking them out. Once Jason came on, I was crying within in the first 5 seconds of his opening song because I was so excited. My sister said he had a lot of high energy and was captivating. She was spot on. I wasn't sure how he would be high energy with the heaviness of his music, but he kept me on my feet in brand new and terribly uncomfortable heels.
I would have to agree with another reviewer and say that his vocals were pretty low where I was. I stood in the lower level, directly centered and about 15 rows back. I could barely hear him. So on the 2 songs I didn't know, they were very hard to follow along. However, that just made me go home and look them up right away. But it wasn't good when he was talking or telling a story. However, that didn't ruin my time. I cannot wait to see him again.
